DEPB Rate has been increased by DGFT
DGFT has increased the DEBP rate for Bulk Tea / Tea bags/Tea in consumer pack/Tea packed in OTS Cans and Chicory / Coffee from 1% to 4% vide Public Notice Number 86 dated 28/11/2007
DGFT has reduced the DEBP rate for Brass Cages for Ball and Roller Bearings from 4% to 2% and for Pressed Taper Roller Bearing cages from 5% to 4% vide Public Notice Number 86 dated 28/11/2007. The DEBP Rates for these export product has been notified Vide Public Notice Number 78 dated 30/10/2007 along with another product Pressed Ball Bearing Cages @ 2%.
2nd sub-paragraph of paragraph 4.4.6 of FTP 2004-09 (Transferability of DUTY FREE IMPORT AUTHORISATION (DFIA) SCHEME) stands replaced by the following Para Vide Public Notice No. 49 dated 14th November 2007 by DGFT.
Once transferability is endorsed, imports / domestic procurement against authorisation or transfer of imported inputs / domestically procured inputs shall be subject to payment of applicable additional customs duty / excise duty. While endorsing transferability, authorisation would bear a note as to liability of such additional customs duty / excise duty. However, in case where CENVAT facility has not been availed, exemption from additional customs duty / excise duty would be available even after endorsement of transferability on DFIA.
The world “Accessories” has been replaced with “Items” in Para 6.9(b) of FTP 2004-09 (Supplies effected from EOU / EHTP / STP / BTP Units to DTA for fulfillment of Positive NFE) Vide Public Notice No. 54 dated 21 November 2007 by DGFT. |
